About Business Lifeline

Business Lifeline is driven by our established Lifeline values; we are committed to improving the community in which we live, and in this case we are focusing on the Gold Coast business community.

We want to help them to simply be as successful as they can be, with as much learning and support as we can provide for them at the most reasonable cost.

The business community on the Gold Coast is predominantly SMEs. Sole Traders and Private Companies make up over 90% of Registered Businesses here on the coast.

Small, medium and family businesses do not usually have the time and cash resources to retain the professional and personal development facilities that larger businesses can access and are able to pay for. They tend to work in the business rather than on it, and often lack the time and money to develop their staff so that they can develop the business to generate more time and money. It’s a self-perpetuating cycle!

Furthermore, with the onset of the credit crisis and the resulting financial stress, many businesses are searching for inexpensive ways in which they can learn necessary skills that will help them combat issues such as maintaining profitability and cash flow, minimizing debt, staff retention as well as more specific emotional issues such as anger management and dealing with trauma.

Lifeline has also in the past conducted a number of outstanding human skills training programs that can be of great value to the business community on the Gold Coast . Many businesses have people with issues that could be helped by Lifeline. The ‘downtime’ issues of stress, trauma, depression etc. could all be helped. Relationship challenges can also be resolved with Lifeline resources.

Up until now, Lifeline has had little direct involvement with business. Perhaps it has been seen in the past as a separate ‘sector’, yet we know our Gold Coast employers are very much a part of the lives of most Lifeline clients, and often are Lifeline clients.
