Business Mentoring

Business mentoring provides guidance and direction on business issues. Business mentors are always experienced in business themselves, have demonstrated significant success, and can share with you their ideas and expertise directly where it would help to make a difference in your business. Mentoring and coaching are also frequently referred to interchangeably and may appropriately overlap in the following areas to achieve the desired outcome sought by you and the needs of the business. In fact, with Business Lifeline, you may choose to have a mix - say one hour of mentoring, and 3 hours of coaching. The distinction is sometimes defined as coaching comes from a skill-base and mentoring from an experience-base. Coaching will be more facilitative. Mentoring will be more directive.

Business Coaching

Coaching is a professional partnership between a coach and Client, in which the Coach assumes a responsibility for assisting their Clients to grow in their capacity to meet and overcome the business and personal challenges that stand between them and the results they seek. Coaching is focused on addressing specific development needs. Often these are oriented around skill-sets. Coaching can also include the development of coaching as a leadership style.
Business coaching is about applying the above process with business owners or managers in the context of their business, to improve the quality of both their professional and personal performance - and to improve the quality of the results that flow from their performance.
The focus of Business Coaching is on improving the management performance of the Client, and the consequential performance of the business as a whole.
